Good Times
Although the club is competitive we also enjoy our rowing. Going out for a social row when the sun is shinning and the water is calm on a lovely summers day, heading towards Mousehole for a picnic and a pint is only one way the club socialises, come along to find out more, your first session is free.
We all enjoy a bit of banter in the boat, that's what makes rowing such an enjoyable sport but when it comes to racing we all have our own way of dealing with the nerves, but as the old saying goes......
Cornwall and South Devon has some beautiful idyllic coves tucked away in places you may never go to unless you were involved in gig rowing. Spend a day exploring some lovely villages, soaking up the atmosphere of race days, then comes the time for you to give your all for your cox & crew.
The club has, for the past few years, travelled to London to take part in one of the great occasions for all types of sea worthy vessels powered only by rowers. The London River Race takes place every year and hundreds of different boats from Cornish Gigs to Dragon Boats row the 22miles from Richmond to Twickenham its a fantastic event, if you get the chance to go....do it!
