A small snippet from the Gig-gle April 2012.......
All camping places have now been sold, Avarack is resting on St Mary's and we have the last 4 or 5 training sessions to go. The Club has its biggest entry in the World Championships yet and I am sure we are all now ready to get out there and enjoy the weekend. For anyone who has not got their ticket yet, they are available from the Quay Street Office in Penzance or by phone 0845 710 5555 but not on the internet and will be monitored closely so, when you buy your ticket please mention 'Pendeen Gig Club'.
There will be the usual Club Information sheet issued to help everyone be in the right place at the right time with no stress. It only remains to remind everyone to have a great time, soak up the atmosphere and row their best. Enjoy!

Windy and cold weather didn't spoil the atmosphere at this years IOS championships. With a record number of crews attending the event, over 150, all races were challenging for the coxwains trying to keep the gigs on course but all boats responded to the sea and produced some good & interesting races. Pendeen were delighted to show off their new kit, all crews wore their new vests & shorts supplied by Godfrey Clothing Ltd.
Pendeen GC had their most successful championships ever, see all the results below;
